Our Vision
We are a life-giving church that teaches
and promotes personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We promote the
gospel of Jesus Christ through one-on-one evangelism and through
discipleship training from the Word of God. Our long-term
vision is to grow this church and from it to plant other churches in
the South Carolina Upstate.
Our Style of
Ministry
This ministry is grace-filled and
emphasizes the unconditional love that God has toward
people. We endeavor to minister in such a way as to free
people from condemnation while challenging them to pursue the
things that God has already provided. The result is that
will walk in a life-giving relationship with
Him.
The Bible tells us
clearly that the gospel of Christ "is the power of God to salvation
for everyone who believes". Called the "gospel of grace of God" in
Acts 20:24, we know that it is the only thing that produces a change
at the level of the heart. It is the Word of God, and it
alone, which is able to transform the
individual.
Our Style of Worship
We
believe our worship services are for the sole purpose of exalting
and magnifying God in our midst. We believe worship is one of
several key elements by which a Believer develops intimacy with
God.
During a
corporate worship service one of the ways we experience the presence
and anointing of the Lord is through the operation of the gifts of
the Holy Spirit. According to 1 Corinthians 12, it is one of
many means in which the Lord speaks. Every attempt is given to
allow the Holy Spirit the freedom to express Himself during
worship.
Statement of
Faith
- God provided the
atonement sacrifice of Jesus Christ for ALL of mankind and it is
eternally and completely sufficient to redeem, reconcile, restore,
heal, deliver, and prosper any person who receives it by
faith.
- God’s single desire is that
ALL would come to know Him and enter into a life-giving
relationship with Him. The purpose and ministry of the church is
to represent and facilitate that desire to ALL people.
- The Bible is the Word of God
inspired and revealed by the Holy Spirit and recorded by men for
the purpose of knowing and understanding the nature and will of
God and His relationship to His creation. It is a complete,
sufficient, life giving testimony of God and is directly
applicable to all areas of the lives of people and of the life of
the church.
- The grace and mercy of
God is paramount in addressing any issue or conflict that would
arise in the life of any person and in the life of the
church.
- Nurturing a love for God and
a love for people produces Godly relationships and is the single
most catalyst that will produce a life-giving church.
- The Body of Christ, because
we are one, is accountable to Jesus Christ as Lord and then to
each other as members of the Body. The church is responsible to
promote personal accountability in the life of each Believer,
especially in the areas of Christian character and
integrity.
- The
Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a separate and distinct experience
apart from the salvation experience of each Believer. This
subsequent baptism enables each "Born Again Believer" to become an
effective witness for the Kingdom of God.
