God's Timing

There's a time for every purpose so the preacher of old once said
And I believe that it was God who placed these thoughts in his head.
The list includes everything from being born
To the casting away of stones.
Why is it then we go through life with a frown, moans and groans.
There's not enough hours in the day
We cry as we rush to and fro.
Then at night fall we're apt to ponder,
Where did this day go?
Could it be that we don't ask God to show us the purpose for our time?
We're so intent on doing our thing or listening to those of our own kind
That we can't see the forest for the trees
Much less consider how the lillies grow.
My ways are not yours, God says in his love,
Take time to be still and know.

In July of 2004 God challenged me to turn to him in repentance.  Living in a different world for 25 years, I was ruled by many addictions.  I begin to see life thru Jesus Christ as my Lord in a homeless shelter.  I am thrilled to say it's amazing and real and I am never going back…..
